Sue Treharne has served as Chair of the Board of Directors since 2018. Sue is a former special education teacher and has a passion for helping others. In 2022, Sue received the Melvin J. Larson Award for her outstanding dedication to the agency.

I have always had an interest in special education, working as a special education teacher in the Joliet School District. I grew up in this neighborhood so it has come full circle to serve on the board.
Wendy Briley joined the Board of Directors in 2020. She works as an executive secretary for the Department of Corrections. Briley said she joined the board to have a small part in making a difference in so many lives.
