Community Day Services Program

The Community Day Services program at UCP-Center for Disability Services is dedicated to providing individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to develop and enhance their lives. Our program offers a wide range of activities and supports that are designed to promote greater independence and personal choice for each participant.

Our highly-trained staff works with individuals to assist them in gaining, retaining, and improving self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills in a non-residential setting. This allows participants to engage in a variety of activities and learn important life skills in an environment separate from their residential living arrangement.

Through our program, individuals have the opportunity to participate in activities that focus on fine and gross motor skills, safety, problem-solving, activities of daily living, communication, and quantitative skills. We also work on reducing maladaptive behaviors and promoting adaptive behaviors, as well as enhancing individuals’ capacity for independent living.

In addition to these core skills, our program also includes opportunities for individuals to engage in productive work activities, opportunities for socialization, leisure skill acquisition, community outings, and recreational activities. These activities help participants to build confidence, social connections, and a sense of accomplishment as they work towards their personal goals.

Overall, the Community Day Services program at UCP-Center for Disability Services is committed to providing individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities the support they need to live fulfilling and independent lives. We are dedicated to helping each participant reach their full potential and achieve their goals.
