Melvin J. Larson School is accredited by the Illinois State Board of Education. We are National Association of Special Education Teachers School of Excellence for the State of Illinois.
We offer a comprehensive educational and therapeutic environment for child with profound disabilities whose needs cannot be met at their home school district. The students we serve includes students with the educational diagnosis of Autism, Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disability, Multiple Disabilities, Orthopedic Impairment, Other Health Impairment, and Traumatic Brain Injury. Our student’s age range is 3-21 years old.
