United Cerebral Palsy-Center for Disability Services hosts luncheon for Joliet Chamber Young Professionals

JOLIET – Last week, United Cerebral Palsy-Center for Disability Services hosted a luncheon for the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Young Professionals Organization to share information about the important services the agency provides to our community.

“We are always happy to host any group or organization who is interested in learning more about UCP-CDS and the programs and services we provide,” said Mike Hennessy, Executive Director of UCP-CDS. “The Joliet Area Young Professional members who attended our special luncheon were very engaged and anxious to learn about our agency.”

According to Sarah Palya, Manager of Events and Programs for the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Joliet Area Young Professionals are a diverse subgroup of the Chamber that is interested in becoming more involved with community activities and service.

“We appreciate the hospitality of Mike and the staff of UCP-CDS,” Palya said. “This was an informative event and we are certain there will be a number of opportunities to partner with the agency.’
Staff leadership shared information with the group about the UCP-CDS programs and services, as well as upcoming fundraising and volunteer events and opportunities.
